Enrollment Instructions

Complete enrollment application (please submit an application for each dog you wish to enroll) and read the Owner Agreement . When you submit an application electronically you will be asked to sign the Owner Agreement the first time your dog visits. No dog will be allowed into the play area without a signed Owner Agreement on file.

Read through all of the information provided—if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call.

Call to schedule your dog’s first visit—we only accept one new dog per day so reservations are required for the first visit. (Exception may be made in the case of 2 dogs from same family)

In addition to a completed application, we must have a  copy of your dog’s current City or County License, and a copy of your dog’s shot records on file.  You may bring these items with you on your dog's first visit, If you prefer, you may have your vet fax the shot information to us at 713-316-0422.  We must have the shot information on file before the dog can be allowed into the play area.

Pack your dog a light lunch each time he comes to play. Even if he doesn’t normally eat during the day, we find that during daycare most dogs burn off a lot of energy, and just like people their blood sugar drops. If everyone gets a light lunch mid-day we have fewer cranky dogs in the afternoon.  We provide snacks, but if your dog is on a special diet feel free to send some of his special treats and we’ll make sure he gets them. For your dog's first visit, try to arrive as early as possible. It can be overwhelming for a new dog to be introduced to a large number of dogs all at once, all trying to sniff him and figure out who he is!  We have found that if a new dog arrives early, before most of the regulars, he gets to be the "Sniffer" as dogs enter the group, rather than the "Sniffee" and is much more comfortable this way.

Once your dog is accepted into the program (after his evaluation day) you may set a weekly schedule for him, or you can call for available space on the days you'd like. Many dogs do well on a two or three day a week schedule. We have found that five days a week is too much for most dogs. Younger dogs or those still working on house training may do well with five days per week, and as they get older we may suggest cutting back to two or three times per week. Reservations are recommended to ensure that you get the days you want.
