| Every dog enrolled is required to pass a temperament evaluation before being admitted to our Day School program. You will need to plan on your dog spending a full day with us for his first visit, so that we can make sure he is comfortable with the playgroup. We will watch closely to make sure he's fitting in, and making new friends. Since admitting a new dog to our playgroup requires constant supervision, we only accept ONE new dog per day. (exception may be made in the case of two dogs from the same household) To make sure you can bring your dog in on the day you want, we recommend that you book your first visit several days in advance. We do not accept drop ins at any time.

- We must have a completed enrollment application, signed owner agreement, and shot records on file BEFORE a dog is admitted for evaluation. No dogs will be allowed into the play area without this information on file. As much fun as it would be, ABSOLUTELY no owners are allowed into the playrooms at any time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- The earlier your dog gets here the more comfortable he will be - only the first dog in the door doesn't have to get sniffed!
- Pack a light lunch for your dog each time he comes. The dogs play hard and burn off a lot of energy. We've found that feeding a snack at mid day reduces the number of cranky dogs in the afternoon
- When you bring your dog for the first time, drop him off and go! Don't make a big deal out of leaving him behind - he'll be fine! Sometimes it can be overwhelming for a dog to meet a large number of dogs all at once. We do our best to introduce them as they feel comfortable, and your dog will not be able to concentrate on meeting new dogs and making new friends if he's worrying about where you are and what you're doing . If he knows that you're here, it makes it much more difficult for us to evaluate his behavior.
- Plan on leaving your dog with us for a full day of daycare. It may take several hours for a new dog to really integrate into the playgroup. We feed lunch between 11am and noon, and naptime is from 1:30 - 3 pm. Give your dog a chance to get another play session after nap before you pick him up - just remember that we close at 6 pm.
- Depending on how his first visit goes, we may want to book his next visit on a day when there are no new dogs. If there is a serious problem with his behavior we will call you right away. If he just seems to need more time to fit in, we'll let you know. If we see problems developing we will let you know so that we can all work together to address them. Even after acceptance into the program, if behavior problems develop a dog may be dismissed at any time.
